Approach

How I decide what to automate

SolveWork finds the repetitive, time-consuming, non-creative work in your business and automates it, so your people can do more.

Every business runs on four pillars

Every business has four essential pillars. Lead generation. Conversion. Fulfillment. And a fourth that depends on the business: reputation, referral, or return. Each pillar contains its own set of workflows. That is where the work happens, and that is where I look.

  1. Lead Generation

    How prospects find you

  2. Conversion

    How prospects become clients

  3. Fulfillment

    How the work gets delivered

  4. Reputation, Referral, Return

How clients bring you the next client

Three traits mark the work worth automating

Inside every workflow, some steps share three characteristics. They are time-consuming. They are non-creative. They are repetitive. Steps with all three are the best place to start with AI automation.

  1. Time-consuming
  2. Non-creative
  3. Repetitive

Augmentation, not replacement

The goal is not to replace workers. It is to augment what they can do and let them accomplish more in the same amount of time. The people on your team keep the judgment, the relationships, and the creative work. The machine takes the repetitive parts.

How much human depends on the work

Most workflows need a human in the loop. For attorney workflows, I use what I call the approach, lawyer in the loop. The lawyer works iteratively between a command-line LLM and a chat LLM and reviews at every stage. Some workflows need far less oversight. The next example is one of them.

Example: Government bid writing for an electrical contractor

An electrical contractor bids on government contracts for fire alarm and security system installation. Each bid has to be found on a government procurement website, screened, and answered with a written proposal. Nearly all of that work is repetitive, time-consuming, and not creative.

We started by setting his parameters: which types of solicitations he is willing to pursue. Then we built the formatting and drafting structure for each proposal. Now the system drafts the response. He reviews the finished piece and decides whether to submit.

After

The Workflow Inventory

Before automating anything, I inventory your workflows. I map each pillar, list the steps inside every workflow, and score each step against the three traits. The result is a ranked list of where AI workflow optimization will pay off first, and where it will not.
